Final stages now -just waiting for the proofreading and then it's off to the
printers. Well on target for launching in November if not actually before! There has been a lot of correspondence on the net
in the early music fraternity about which pictures of Sennfl are the real ones. The real ones are those which look like the
one on the home page of this site. It was done by Hans Schwarz in 1519/20; the other good ones are the pictures of the medallions
done of him by Schwarz and Friedrich Hagenauer. They all look like the same person. There is a spurious one going around -
I think this is either Lassus or Arcadelt. If you see a picture claiming to be Sennfl with a beard, a long face and wearing
a ruff, it is not Sennfl!
